Fire and File was started by Yvonne, a mainly self taught silversmith/metalsmith based in Llanidloes, Mid Wales where she lives with her husband, 5 year old daughter & a lazy Labrador. She designs & creates all of her work at her home workshop.

Yvonne has always loved creating (anything really!) & began silversmithing in September 2018, starting with silver jewellery & then mixed metal home decor. 

She launched Fire & File Metal Design in October 2020 & hasn’t looked back. 

Yvonne's passion is creating pieces for people to wear or hang in their homes. As far as Yvonne is concerned jewellery should be worn & homes lived in yet both be beautiful & captivating.
