Jill Rolfe of One Stop Sewing Station Llanidloes

Why fill our landfill up with unwanted clothes? Why add to the unsustainable culture of fast fashion?

We all need to change our perspectives on what we wear & reduce waste.

After years of working in Theatre and the Fashion Industry, my work today is on creating unique clothing from unwanted clothes, fabric remnants and end of line fabric. Everything I create is one of a kind.

My unique up-cycled Japanese style artist/cooking aprons are made entirely from jeans, shirts or skirts. These aprons are great with a pair of leggings and even for maternity wear.

My baggy dungarees and some of the Japanese style aprons are all made from end of line fabric or remnants.

My T-shirts that I create are from unwanted T-shirts. I give them an uplift and a new lease of life.

Living in the beautiful countryside of Mid Wales, I have my own workshop called One Stop Sewing Station in Llanidloes. At my workshop I make costumes for the Theatre and Opera, wedding dress alterations, clothing alterations and upholstery. I also run workshops in sewing machine skills and up-cycling.

I am happy to create bespoke items for you. Perhaps you have some of your own unused clothes or maybe even clothes of loved ones you hold dear. No matter how old they are, their size or even if they’ve been eaten by moths - I can rejuvenate them to worn again.
